QUANTUMBUTTON

A one-button duel, face to face.

One button. Sixty seconds. An encrypted live video link to whoever you're up against — they see your face the whole match, you see theirs. Power items rewrite the rules mid-round. The daily crate pays out whether you won or got crushed. The leaderboard is global, and the rematches start happening fast.

// THE GAME

A Tap Game With A Face.

Most tap games are idle clickers wearing a costume. Quantum Button is a fast, social, sixty-second duel in which your opponent can see your face — and read it.

The premise is tiny. The button is on your screen and so is theirs. The higher score after sixty seconds wins. What you do with that minute — when to spend your Fury, when to spring a Time Freeze, when to look up at the live feed and let them know you're not nervous — is where the game actually lives. Everything else (the modes, the crates, the squad avatars, the seasonal mythic drops) is built around those sixty seconds of two people staring each other down.

// WHAT MAKES IT WORK

Six Reasons The Rematch Happens.

Most tap games end the moment you stop tapping. Quantum Button is built around the moments between taps — the items you spend, the face you make, the round you didn't expect to lose.

📹⚔️

Peer-To-Peer Video Duels

Every match opens a direct video link between the two devices. Watch their face when you drop a Fury; let them watch yours when you don't. The stream never touches our servers and nothing is recorded — when the round ends, the video is gone.

Power Items That Change The Round

Fury triples your tap speed for five seconds. Barrier blocks the next three items thrown at you. Shadow Clone taps for you while you breathe. Time Freeze locks their button while you watch the panic set in. Each combination opens a different match.

🎰

A Free Daily Crate

One spin every twenty-four hours. The crate hands out bombs, shields, free duels and gold; mythic skins drop rarely. Login streaks improve the odds, so the longer you play the more the rewards skew toward you.

🏆

Five Modes, Five Tempos

Classic is sixty seconds with every item available. Hardcore is one miss and you're out. Zen is solo, no timer, ambient music. Marathon is five minutes and a finger-cramp warning. Devil Mode is what we use to test our patience.

🐕🐈

Thirteen Squad Avatars

Choose one of thirteen real cats and dogs from the studio as your in-game avatar. They appear on your profile, on the leaderboard, and on your opponent's screen in the seconds before a round.

📈

Three Leaderboards

Weekly, seasonal, and all-time. Ranks run from Rookie to Mythic. The top of each board gets featured on the home screen. Everyone else gets bragging rights at the next dinner — which, frankly, is more than enough.

// THE TOOLBOX

The Power Items.

Each match starts you with three. The pool refills as you play. Some buff you. Some sabotage them. None of them can be bought — the unfairness lives entirely in how you spend them.

🔥
Fury
Self-Buff

Triple tap speed for five seconds. Use it from behind to leapfrog into the lead.

🛡️
Barrier
Defence

Absorbs the next three items thrown at you. The defensive backbone of any Hardcore run.

👤
Shadow Clone
Auto-Tap

A phantom taps for you for four seconds. Useful if your finger is cramping, or if you want to look up and laugh.

⏱️
Time Freeze
Sabotage

Locks your opponent's button for two seconds. Their face on the video feed is the real reward.

💣
Bomb
Damage

Knocks a fixed amount off your opponent's score. Unglamorous, reliable, and never out of place.

🌀
Vortex
Chaos

Sends your opponent's button orbiting the screen for three seconds. They can still tap it. They probably won't.

Overcharge
Self-Buff

Each tap counts as two for eight seconds. Longer window than Fury, smaller multiplier. Better in long rounds.

🎭
Decoy
Mind Games

Shows your opponent a fake score, much higher than yours, for three seconds. They'll burn items trying to catch up. You won't.

// THE MODES

Five Modes. Five Tempos.

Each mode has its own leaderboard and its own learned reflexes. Classic is where most matches start. The others are where you find out what kind of player you actually are.

🎯
Classic
60 Seconds • PvP

Sixty seconds. One button. Every item unlocked. The mode the rest of the game grew out of, and the one most matches end up in.

💀
Hardcore
One Miss And You're Out

Miss a single tap window and the round ends. Items stop being tactical and become survival tools. The audible reactions from new players were what convinced us to keep it.

🌿
Zen
Solo • No Timer

Solo, no timer, ambient music. Track personal bests against yourself. Designed to bring your heart rate back down after Devil Mode has put it through the roof.

🏃
Marathon
5 Minutes • Endurance

Five minutes uninterrupted. Items recharge over the round. Tests stamina more than speed. The app warns you to stretch your hand before you start.

👹
Devil Mode
All Rules Negotiable

Items rain from the top of the screen. The button changes size mid-round. Every ten seconds a rule inverts. There is no strategy. Some players love it. Some never come back.

// REWARDS

A Crate. A Cosmetic. Every Day.

Open the app once in twenty-four hours and the crate hands you something. The mythic tier is rare enough that a pull tends to make the next dev log.

🎰

Daily Spin Crate

One spin every twenty-four hours, guaranteed. Login streaks and rank both improve the odds. Regular players accumulate items, gold and free duels just by turning up.

Bombs Shields Free Duels Gold Power Items

Mythic Skins

Cosmetic only: glowing buttons, particle trails, custom victory sounds, screen effects. Most arrive through the seasonal ladder; a few drop from the crate. Wearing one is a small flex.

// HOW IT PLAYS

A Match, Start To Finish.

From opening the app to "rematch?", four steps. Total time, under sixty seconds the first time. Considerably less every time after.

1

Choose Your Mode & Avatar

Pick a mode and one of the thirteen squad avatars. The avatar follows you onto the leaderboard and across to your opponent's screen.

2

Invite Someone, Or Match Globally

Share a six-digit room code with someone you want to beat, or tap Quick Match. The video link is established before the round starts so neither of you can stall after the buzzer.

3

Tap. Spend Items At The Right Moment.

Tap as fast as you can manage. Spend Fury when you need ground; spend Time Freeze when you can spare the cooldown. Try not to look at their face on the feed. You won't succeed.

4

Collect XP, Open The Crate

XP and gold land regardless of result. The daily crate refreshes if the cooldown is up. Wins move you up the ladder; losses keep you on the same rung.

// THE AVATARS

Your In-Game Face.

Thirteen cats and dogs from the studio. Each is a selectable in-game avatar, on your profile and on your opponent's screen.

// FAQ

Things People Ask.

Anything missing? Email spencerthegathering@gmail.com.

When does it actually launch?
Closed beta runs through the first half of 2026, with the public launch later that same year. The waitlist sets the order of beta invites. Dates can shift if a feature isn't ready.
Is the live video feed actually private?
Yes. The stream is peer-to-peer over an encrypted WebRTC connection — it never touches our servers and nothing is recorded. Only the two players in the room see each other. When the round ends, the link closes and the video is gone.
Do I have to use the video feed?
No. You can play with audio reactions only, or in complete silence. The video feed is the signature feature, not a requirement.
Will it be free?
Yes. Quantum Button is free to download and free to play. The only optional purchases are cosmetic — mythic skins, trails, victory sounds — and the daily crate gives them out for free too. Nothing paid affects the outcome of a match.
Which platforms?
iOS and Android at launch, tablets included. Web and desktop sit on the longer roadmap.
Are the power items unfair?
Both players start every round with the same item pool. None of them can be bought. The unfairness lives in timing — how well you spend them, not how many you have.
What if I'm not fast at tapping?
Zen mode is solo and has no timer — practice as long as you like. Classic rewards item timing as much as raw speed, so strategy buys you a lot of ground against quicker fingers.
