INDEPENDENT GAME & APP STUDIO • EST. 2025

WE BUILD THE GATHERING

An independent studio out of Brisbane, building two apps that take aim at the same problem from opposite directions. Quantum Button is a one-button duelling game with a live video link to your opponent — sixty seconds, real faces, no mercy. Achievo is a social app built around your actual life — set quests that matter, earn XP, then log off. Both arrive in 2026.

// THE STUDIO

Software That Earns Its Place.

We measure success in minutes off-screen, not on. A good round of Quantum Button ends in under a minute and leaves you grinning. A good day on Achievo ends with you logged off — and the run you set as a quest actually done.

Somewhere around 2012, software stopped being built for people. The apps that pulled it off weren't built by villains; they were built by smart engineers optimising for the wrong number. We're trying to optimise for the right ones. Joy. Connection. A run, finished. A friend, called. There are no shareholders pushing for "engagement", and no targets that have to be hit by Tuesday. There is one builder, thirteen pets, and the next version of each app sitting in a project folder until it earns the right to be shipped.

// Built In The Quantum Realm
// IN BUILD

Two Apps. Opposite Tactics.

Quantum Button is fast, loud, and best played across a kitchen table from someone you can taunt. Achievo is the slow burn — daily quests, real streaks, and a feed you're meant to close. Same studio. Same mission. Wildly different methods.

Closed Beta • v2.0

QUANTUM BUTTON

A one-button duel, face to face.

One button. Sixty seconds. A live encrypted video link straight to your opponent, so the only thing they don't see is the Fury you're saving for the final ten. Five modes. Eight power items. A daily crate that pays out whether you won or got crushed. The leaderboard is global — and the rematches will start happening fast.

1v1 video duels, peer-to-peer — your face never touches our servers
Power items that change the rules: Fury, Barrier, Shadow Clone
A free daily crate of bombs, shields, duels and gold
Five modes including Hardcore (one miss, you're out) and Devil
Thirteen squad avatars — pick the one that fits your match face

ACHIEVO

A social app that wants you to log off.

Vertical video on one side. Threaded conversations on the other. Set the quests that matter — drink water, run five kilometres, finish the book — and the app turns each one into XP, streaks, and a small circle of people who notice when you turn up. Built accessibility-first from the first sketch: designed for wheelchair users, neurodivergent minds, low vision and Deaf players, and anyone the internet routinely forgets.

A dual feed: video to inspire you, threads to talk it over
Daily quests for runs, hydration, focus, journaling, the lot
Streaks that pause when life happens, instead of punishing rest
Camera-proof posts with built-in timers — the receipts are real
Accessibility designed first, not bolted on at the end
Free with ads, or Achievo Pro ★ for an ad-free feed and a gold badge by your name

// HOUSE RULES

Four Pillars.

Four rules we wrote down before a line of code, and check every build against. The day a pillar bends to a deadline is the day the build doesn't ship.

Built To Be Finished

A good game leaves you wanting another round. A great one lets you walk away from it. Short sessions. Clean endings. Joy you don't have to fight your way out of.

👥

Made For Humans. Plural.

Every feature is built to bring two or more people together. Solo modes are the exception, never the default. No engagement bots, no synthetic hearts, no friend suggestions you never asked for.

Accessibility, From The First Line

Not a settings menu we'll add later. Wheelchair users, neurodivergent minds, the Deaf community, low vision and blind players, and people managing chronic fatigue get the full app — never a watered-down version of it.

🐕

Built Like It Matters

One builder. Thirteen cats and dogs supervising, mostly by sleeping. There are no shareholders pushing for engagement, no roadmap we didn't write ourselves, and no growth target waiting on Tuesday. Just the next version, and the question of whether it's ready.

// THE ROADMAP

Where We're Headed.

Updated whenever something ships, slips, or changes shape. Honest dates, honest scope, no fictional milestones to dress up a pitch.

Q4 2025 — DONE
The Studio Opens For Business
Spencer The Gathering is registered. The first website goes live. The thirteen-strong squad of cats and dogs sits for portraits. Quantum Button enters a daily build cycle. The studio exists.
Q1–Q2 2026 — IN PROGRESS
Quantum Button v2.0 — Closed Beta
Private 1v1 duels over a live encrypted video link. Power items, daily crates, mythic skins, all five modes playable. The leaderboard wakes up the day the first invites do.
Q3 2026 — NEXT
Quantum Button — Public Launch
Public release on iOS and Android. Global leaderboards open. The first seasonal event runs through the southern spring. From here on, new avatars and mythic skins drop with the seasons.
Late 2026 — IN BUILD
Achievo v1.0 — Closed Beta
Achievo opens to a small, private group of testers. Dual feed, quests, streaks, camera-proof posts — all in. The final accessibility pass is the last thing locked before anyone gets a key.
2027 — AHEAD
Achievo Goes Public. Something New Begins.
Achievo opens to everyone. A third project starts its long, quiet life in the project folder. We'll tell you what it is when it's ready to be played, and not a day before.

// FAQ

Common Questions.

If yours isn't here, email spencerthegathering@gmail.com — a real person reads it.

When does Quantum Button launch?
Closed beta runs through the first half of 2026, with the public launch later that same year. The waitlist sets the order of beta invites. We'd rather release something small that works than something big that doesn't, so the dates may breathe a little.
How does the live video feed actually work?
Peer-to-peer, over an encrypted WebRTC connection. The stream goes straight between the two devices in a match — it never touches our servers and nothing is recorded. When the round ends, the connection closes and the video is gone.
Is Achievo free?
Yes. The free tier includes every quest template, all streaks, the dual feed, camera-proof posts and the full accessibility suite. It's supported by ads between feed posts. Achievo Pro removes the ads and adds a gold PRO ★ next to your name across the app. Pro will be a few dollars a month at launch — final pricing is set closer to release.
Are the cats and dogs actually real?
All thirteen. Each in-game avatar is modelled on a real cat or dog who shares the studio. The photos are real, the names are real, and the chewed cables are very real.
Do you work with brands or other studios?
Not actively — both apps take all the time we have. But interesting partnerships are always worth a conversation. Send an email and tell us what you're thinking.
Which platforms will the apps be on?
iOS and Android at launch for both apps. A web build is on the longer roadmap, not the next twelve months.
